• • The battle is finally over. Microsoft will in fact acquire Activision Blizzard. The decision declared by Judge Jacqueline Scott Corley states that Microsoft can close its deal ahead of its 18 July deadline. Moreover, the FTC has already set in motion an appeal against the decision. Last month, it has been stated that Microsoft has considered “extreme” options such as withdrawing Blizzard from the UK completely in a bid to bypass the UK’s block of its deal. Furthermore, Sony has revealed no comment at all.
    
    
  • Antstream will expand beyond its PC and app roots, providing Xbox players with over 1,300 games on Xbox Series and Xbox one consoles. Also, the report states that 87% of classic games are out of print in the US. This has set the preservation of games in danger of getting worse due to the “volatile” nature of digital stores and services. 
    
    
  • The new football re-branding, EA Sports FC will start off on 29 September. The first game will have a significant feature which is the inclusion of women players in Ultimate Team. It has also released the cover image of its $100 Ultimate edition leading several criticisms to evoke given the low rendering on some of the faces and the fact that 3 main players ( Messi, Ronaldo, and Mbappé) are missing. Also, FIFA launched its first game after breaking away from EA.
