    • It has been claimed that Microsoft and PlayStation have signed a binding agreement of 10 years to keep Call of Duty on PS following the acquisition of Activision Blizzard.  The UK's CMA have stated that they will take another six weeks to consider the new submission from Microsoft on the issue of cloud gaming and COD..

    • The UK's trade body, UKIE, have set 11 industry principles to "improve the protections for all players". Some of these principles included giving clear probability disclosures and disclosing the presence of Loot boxes prior to purchase.  The UK government is investigating the impact of loot-boxes. 

    • Xbox Live Gold will be re-branded as "GamePass Core" starting the 14th of September. This service will cost $10 a month or $60 a year and will provide consumers access to multiplayer gaming.  Gold would usually offer smaller indie games every month and this implies that GamePass will offer 4 subscription services, Core, Consle, PC, and Ultimate.
