Nintendo │ Fiscal 2024 year end posts revenue growth. In its fiscal 2024 year-end report (ending March 2024) Nintendo posted growth in revenue of +4.4% to $11B and an ordinary profit increase of +13% to $4.4B. Highlights of their financials can be found here.

Roblox shares dropped -25% last week (from $39 to $30) on news that bookings will fall to a low of $4B, from a previous high of $4.3B, for its fiscal year (ending Dec 24).

Runaway success Helldivers 2 had one hell of a week (pun intended), thanks to Sony. Due to a delayed implementation Sony finally got around to forcing Helldivers 2 PC players to sign up to PSN if they wanted to play.

Microsoft announced it will close three Bethesda studios and mothball one further one. Redfall developer Arkane Austin will close, and its online co-op vampire game will not be updated further. Hi-Fi Rush developer Tango Gameworks will close. Mighty Doom Alpha Dog Studios will close, and the game switched off on 7th August. Roundhouse Studios, formally Human Head Studios, will meanwhile be merged with The Elder Scrolls Online developer ZeniMax Online Studios.
