    • Ubisoft has decided to support PlayStation Plus by adding a new tier to its own Ubisoft+ subscription service. Called “Ubisoft+ Classics” this tier will come to the PlayStation Plus Extra and PlayStation Plus Premium services. Up to 50 games, old and new, will be made available by the end of the year.

    • According to Puck’s journalist Dylan Byers Electronic Arts have held talks with a number of different potential suitors, including Disney, Apple and Amazon […] several sources familiar with these talks say EA has been persistent in pursuing a sale and has only grown more emboldened in the wake of the Microsoft-Activision deal. Others say that EA is primarily interested in a merger arrangement that would allow Wilson to remain as chief executive of the combined company.”

    • The Its A Knockout game Fall Guys will be going free-to-play from 21st June. Mediatonic, the developer of the game, is seeing the free-to-play status as a re-launch. The game will come with a new season referred to as “Season 1: Free For All”, which promises "stacks of new challenges and rewards". Mediatonic will be giving all existing (paid) players access to a special Legacy Pack, which will include various cosmetic items and the first Season Pass for free. The game will be launched on the Switch and Xbox on 21st June and it will become an Epic Games exclusive for the PC. The game will be delisted from Steam and all Steam accounts will be redeemed on the Epic Games platform. Epic Games acquired Mediatonic in March 2021.

    • Sony has released its first PlayStation 5 bundle that includes Horizon Forbidden West.

    • Eve Anywhere is now live for Alpha players, enabling them to play Eve Online on any browser without the dedicated client software. Browser supported gameplay will not come cheap. A day’s subscription will come to $1.50 to pay for the servers that stream the data. A stable connection of at least 25mbps is also required.
